Two Tripwires Fired Monday: Abcellera's Reclaim, Duke's Break

Market Signal

Two pre-registered price conditions crossed on Monday's close, in opposite directions.

AbCellera (ABCL) — in-zone, converted. The July 9 call said interest begins at a reclaim of the 52-week-high line at $8.45 — the level that would say the spring pullback was digestion, not distribution. Monday closed at $9.34, through the line with RSI at 77 and the stock up 43.3% over 30 days. The condition fired as written, and a standard conviction unit was opened at $9.34. The caveat travels with it: RSI 77 after a 43% month is a confirmation price, not an entry price — the invalidation stays a finish back under the 50-day, where the four-month turn structure breaks.

Duke Energy (DUK) — invalidated. The July 17 power-squeeze report's defensive leg said the call dies if DUK loses its 200-day near $123. Monday closed at $121.19, 1.7% below the line, RSI 36.7. The defensive-bid expression of the power-demand thesis is invalidated as written; the growth expressions of that report (VST, CEG, LEU) carry their own separate conditions. A reclaim of the 200-day that holds would reopen the leg.
