Phase 0a prose refresh (full re-run, fresh social/news captures)

  • Type: refresh (subtype: narrative-prose + social-capture integration)
  • event_id: 2026-06-16-spacex-ipo-liquidity-event-phase0a-prose-refresh
  • Source: ~280 fresh captures from the June 16 full-scan run: r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks, r/valueinvesting, r/investing; tweet captures from @mvcinvesting, @ZaStocks, @Kaizen_Investor, @RichTerry123, @ChrisCamillo, @LiebermanAustin; CNBC/Reuters news articles captured same-day.

Key captures that changed the narrative arc:

  1. SPCX surpassed Microsoft in market cap by T+4 (r/stocks "SpaceX surges past Amazon and Microsoft in market cap," 1081 pts, 491 comments; CNBC 2026-06-16). SPCX at ~$2.94T market cap makes it the fourth-largest U.S. company. The event magnitude exceeded most pre-IPO forecasts.

  2. Cursor/$60B all-stock acquisition (Reuters, r/stocks 135 pts, 2026-06-16). SPCX announced the acquisition of Anysphere (the Cursor AI coding agent) for $60B all-stock. Structurally important for Hypothesis B: SPCX is expanding the xAI footprint into enterprise AI tools, now directly competing with Anthropic and OpenAI in AI coding. The all-stock structure compressed SPCX options premium on the maiden options trading day (as noted by put-sellers in WSB). A new competitive threat vector for CRWV and the AI-infra cohort not previously in the thesis.

  3. Retail FOMO is at fever pitch — two-sided. Long YOLOs dominate WSB: "$315k Roth IRA all-in at $211" (9796 pts, 1992 comments), "$380 LEAP" (175 pts), "$12k call" (46 pts). Short side also active: Michael Burry publicly stated he was "tempted to bet against SpaceX but passed on expensive options" (1920 pts, 308 comments); "SPCX rocket ship imploding" and "baby bear play" posts live alongside the longs. June 16 = first SPCX options day.

  4. Institutional skepticism thread (r/stocks "SPCX Beware — institutional money is NOT buying this trash," 621 pts, 292 comments). High-engagement argument that market-makers are propping quotes to enable insider lockup tranche triggers. Retail understanding of the +30% bonus-tranche mechanic is emerging, even if imprecisely framed.

  5. Musk $1T revenue by 2030 claim (X post, r/valueinvesting 165 pts, 195 comments). Announced June 16; skeptically received. Amplifies the valuation-disconnected-from-fundamentals narrative.

  6. CRWV government-investment thesis (@ZaStocks, 404 likes, 28 retweets). Independent social consensus forming around CRWV as the U.S. compute company most likely to receive government backing under an AI industrial policy. New bull-case angle coexisting with the SPCX competitive-threat framing.

  7. NBIS Estonia data center expansion (@mvcinvesting, 973 likes, 79 retweets). Job listings confirm NBIS is building an Estonia facility. AI-infra cohort expanding capacity post-IPO — consistent with NOT-FIRED Hypothesis A.

  8. Space halo: PL down nearly -50% (@Kaizen_Investor, 144 likes). Planet Labs now down ~50% from ATM announcement; caption explicitly attributes to "capital outflow to SpaceX." Direct social confirmation of Hypothesis C at the single-name level.

  9. OpenAI $34B spending / planned IPO (WSB, FT source, 506 pts). Confirms the super-IPO cadence: SPCX + OpenAI in a 12-month window. Cumulative liquidity drain thesis gains relevance as a second mega-IPO approaches.

Thesis effect: No direction change. The fresh captures reinforce the T+2 hypothesis scoring: Hypothesis C confirmed, A not-fired, B indeterminate with a favorable lean. The Cursor acquisition is a new structural input not previously in the thesis — it extends Hypothesis B in a direction that is not threatening to CRWV/NBIS at the index level (SPCX is adding enterprise AI tools, not a pure infrastructure comp displacement), but it does sharpen the competitive-threat angle at the product level.
