Stopped-out June verdicts re-examined + the HUBS flip

Stopped-out June verdicts re-examined + the HUBS flip (2026-07-19)

Question: four of the six stopped-out June "intact" verdicts (EWY, PL, RKLB, CBRS — the storage pair STX/WDC waits for the July 28–29 prints) plus the EDGAR-contradicted HUBS "broken" tag, each re-examined against its own artifact's stated logic and the 2026-07-17 tape. No flips from price alone: every verdict change below either honors the June artifact's own pre-registered invalidation clause or rests on three quarters of filed fundamentals.

Verdict summary

Symbol Was Now Band Why
EWY intact intact-but-priced >190.76 (SMA50) / <132.65 (SMA200) June artifact's own clause fired (SMA50 ~184 gave way) but price holds +22.5% above rising SMA200, golden cross intact — the memory-complex derate (MU parallel), not name-specific falsification
PL intact broken >25.53 (SMA200 reclaim) The artifact's own threshold ("clean break under ~$23–24 flips to trend broken") fired; price now −12% BELOW the SMA200 that anchored the intact call; regime pullback→collapse
RKLB intact broken >77.42 (SMA200 reclaim) Same SMA200 inversion on a weaker profile (cash-burning, −$777M insider selling, unresolved 8-K); 3M return flipped +38.75%→−24.41%
CBRS intact intact-but-priced >237.50 (VWAP) / <160.81 (value-area low) Nibble-stop broken, but the slide tracks the artifact's own flagged unlock-overhang-into-November risk; predicted floor (~161) not reached. The 07-09 desk call's $221.30/$160.81 legs stay on nightly watch
HUBS broken intact-but-priced >298 (SMA200) / <200.6 (SMA50, auto-derived) Fundamentals-based flip: growth ACCELERATING (+19.4% → +20.9% → +23.4% YoY), two straight GAAP-positive operating quarters (+$27.9M Q1'26), $943.9M cash — not a broken business on any filed measure

The two broken flips are the artifacts' own clauses, not price-alone

Both PL and RKLB carried explicit, pre-registered falsification language in their June 29 deep-dives — "a clean break there flips 'deep pullback in an uptrend' to 'trend broken'" — naming the exact confluence levels that have now given way with room to spare. In both, the single strongest bull pillar the intact call rested on (price above a rising 200-day) has inverted to −12% below. Honoring an artifact's own invalidation clause is the discipline working, not the error class the omission loop guards against. Caveat carried on both tags: the falsification is technical by the artifacts' own construction — neither name's fundamentals were re-pulled this pass, and a fundamentals refresh is owed at each lane's next touch before any further move.

HUBS: the correction and the flip

The overnight sweep's HUBS row compared Q1'26 against the WRONG year-ago quarter (Q2'25), reporting +15.8% YoY — the true comparator (Q1'25, $714.1M, filed in the same 10-Q) gives +23.4%, and the operating-income swing is ~$55.4M. The error understated the bull case; it is corrected in the sweep artifact.

On the corrected record: revenue growth has ACCELERATED three quarters running (+19.4% → +20.9% → +23.4%), operating income swung from −$27.5M (Q1'25) to +$11.2M (Q3'25) to +$27.9M (Q1'26), net income from −$21.8M to +$32.6M, cash $943.9M. The tape has stopped falling (weak-up, +27.4% 30D, back above the 20- and 50-day) though it remains ~25% below the 200-day, 60% off the high. The steel-manned bear case (thin ~3.2% operating margin; bookings would show SMB erosion before trailing revenue; the multiple stayed structurally depressed through the acceleration; no insider buying at the panic low) survives as a PRICING argument — it no longer supports "broken" as a business-state verdict.

Flip ratified: broken → intact-but-priced. The SMA200 (~298) stays as the conviction-upgrade trigger, the SMA50 (~200.6, auto-derived) arms as the recovery-failed re-exam leg, and the flip carries its own disconfirm conditions in the tag note: a quarter with YoY growth back under ~19%, or two consecutive negative operating quarters, reopens toward broken.
