Tier 3 — Uptrend (leverage-adjusted >10% 30d)
(none this week — no ETF met this tier's threshold)
Tier 4 — Cold (everything else)
46 of the 50 ETFs with fresh data (universe 59) sat below every tier threshold this week. Cold names are deliberately not tabulated — this scan reports takeoffs, breakouts, and uptrends; a mostly-empty board means the ETF universe is cold, not that the scan is broken.
Methodology
Mechanism-aware tiering, applied per ticker via market-engine watchlists/etf-monster-universe.json's
mechanisms map:
change30d / leverage_factor. 52wk-high field is ignored — volatility decay makes it meaningless. Tier on the leverage-adjusted return.
through covered-call mechanics. Ignore 52wk-high.
normal monster-shape filter — Tier 1 if change30d > 20% OR change3m > 30%; Tier 2 if at ATH with RSI > 65.
