ETF Monster Universe v3 (2026-08-24) — discovery-focused ETF/CEF roster with mechanisms map for filter-aware scoring. Each ticker is tagged with type (passive-index | active-discretionary | thematic-rules-based | daily-reset-leveraged | synthetic-income | closed-end-fund | buffered | crypto-spot), leverage (numeric daily magnitude), underlying (inverse products name the inverse benchmark), and issuer. The monster-etf-scan CLI computes leverage-adjusted returns and applies mechanism-appropriate filters; daily-reset-leveraged and synthetic-income ignore 52wk-high comparisons because volatility/NAV decay makes them meaningless across long horizons. v3 adds the 18 leveraged and inverse products already tracked by etf-ideas, including LABU/LABD, SOXL/SOXS, TQQQ/SQQQ, and the gold-miner pair; it does not expand to untracked issuer catalogs. v1/v2 history: 44-ticker launch; SCHG, IWO, NUKZ, HUMN, CHAT, and DRAM added; delisted BIGB removed. MSTU/MSTX/CONL's distance from 52wk high is real volatility decay, not reverse-split distortion.
