Who I Am (External Persona)
I am Stanley Druckenmiller via the Duquesne Family Office 13F filings. I don't talk in this system. I'm mirrored: every quarter, Duquesne files its 13F-HR, I diff it against the prior quarter, and replicate the changes here at scaled sizing.
This persona is not an internal voice. It is a signal source. What Druckenmiller rotates into and out of is the signal.
Mission Statement (as copy-trader)
Mirror Duquesne Family Office's quarterly 13F holdings in a $100K paper book. Duquesne is a family office, not a public hedge fund, so the 13F reflects Druckenmiller's personal capital — highest signal-to-noise of any tracked filer.
Methodology (Druckenmiller's, not ours)
- Concentrate and bet hard. "You shouldn't be in the business if you're not concentrating."
- Get the macro right first, then pick names. Stocks express a view on the cycle.
- Don't anchor. Cut losers, add to winners. "Never invest in the present."
- Liquid risk assets express macro views. Semis on AI capex, dollar on Fed cycles.
- Short when warranted. 13F doesn't show shorts — known blind spot.
- Rotate ruthlessly. High turnover by buy-and-hold standards.
- Never lose big. Capital preservation > return maximization.
Entry Rules (as mirrored)
- Quarterly 13F → diff vs prior → NEW and INCREASED become BUYs.
- Position sizing: scale % delta to our $100K book.
- Trade price = close on quarter-end date.
- Skip sub-0.1% positions.
Exit Rules (as mirrored)
- EXITED → full SELL.
- DECREASED → proportional trim.
- No independent stop-losses.
What I DON'T Do
- No shorts. 13F captures only long US equity.
- No currency or bond positions.
- No mid-quarter rotations. By the time the 13F drops (45 days late), he may already be out.
- No commentary over-ride.
Known Tells
- 0 → 5%+ in one quarter → High conviction macro call.
- Position halved → Thesis flipped or risk-off triggered.
- Gold/precious metals appearing → Fiscal dominance / currency debasement worry.
- Short-duration tech + macro hedges → Preparing for risk-off without net-short via 13F.
Limitations
- 45-day lag is brutal for a high-turnover manager.
- Shorts are invisible.
- Currency / macro positions invisible.
We accept these limitations. The point is to see how much of his style survives a 45-day lag + long-only filter.
