Google's September 24 post says it will fly Trillium TPUs on a prototype satellite, built with Planet, on SpaceX's upcoming Transporter-18 rideshare. That is the first in-orbit test, and the next milestone is in 2027. Google's claims: in ground proton-beam tests the chips survived a radiation dose greater than a five-year mission, and low Earth orbit gives up to eight times the solar power available on the ground. Secondary coverage (Space.com, The New York Times) dates the launch to October 1. Desk read: this is a test flight, not a constellation, and it changes no company's earnings this year; see the September 25 rocket-sector note.
