The Roundhill S&P 500 Target 10,000 2030 ETF $XX is launching today, which buys long dated call options targeting a strike price for SPX of 10,000 in Jan 2030. The idea being a way to provide long-term leverage to SPX without the vol drag from daily resetting.

Takeaway

Eric Balchunas (Bloomberg ETF analyst), Oct 1: Roundhill's XX holds long-dated SPX call options targeting a 10,000 strike in January 2030, pitched as long-term S&P leverage without the daily-reset drag of 2x/3x funds. As described, it is a packaged far out-of-the-money LEAPS: on the 2026-10-02 close the S&P sits near 7,700 (SPY x10), so the index must rise about 30% (about 8.3% a year) just to reach the strike, and calls struck at 10,000 have no intrinsic value at exactly 10,000 on expiry. It pays only on an S&P well above 10,000. Day-one quote was very wide (Schwab snapshot bid 17.54 / ask 38.92 on 8,467 shares). Implied leverage, so outside Fund-First; relevant to the long-call mandate (v2 M2) as a packaged comparison.
