Oracle's first quarter of fiscal 2027 challenges the reversal case on the leg the claim rests on: capital expenditure of $28.499B, fiscal 2027 guided above fiscal 2026's $55.663B, more than $30B of new AI cloud contracts and remaining performance obligations of $664B against $455B a year earlier are spending maintained and raised, and the market attributed the day's two best S&P 500 performers to the print. It supplies real evidence on the scope's financing transmission channel rather than its order channel: the $20B at-the-market program fully drawn for 141 million shares, $11.363B of customer prepayments with a significant financing component, free cash flow of -$5.396B for a fifth consecutive quarter, and $125.0B of senior notes marked at $105.7B fair value at August 31 against $114.4B on $128.1B at May 31. Cost of money is not a disclosed spending reduction; the case's supports condition is not met.

Campaign 1: INTACT, risk lens
Earlier same-day thesis review retained as context. Its prior classification is historical; the current scope review supplies the live disposition and preserves its unresolved evidence gaps.
-
Coherent: optical growth and capacity expansion
Current supplier growth weighs against an immediate earnings reversal. The counter-case needs subsequent spending cuts and order or margin deterioration within its stated window.
-
CoreWeave: delivered growth and financing demands
Revenue and infrastructure growth coexist with financing demands. The financing channel is worth testing, but neither losses nor funding alone demonstrate spending cuts or a supplier reversal.
-
GE Vernova: power and grid orders
Current upstream order growth challenges an immediate spending-collapse claim. Long-lived bookings can outlast short-cycle cuts, so this is not a verdict on future memory or optical orders.
-
Lumentum: optical demand and product ramps
Current supplier growth weighs against an immediate earnings reversal. The counter-case needs subsequent spending cuts and order or margin deterioration within its stated window.
-
SK hynix: memory pricing and supply plans
Current producer pricing and demand challenge an already-realized memory downturn. The reversal case must earn support from later cuts, cancellations and weakening economics.
-
Seagate: cloud storage and the density roadmap
Current storage operating progress limits broad claims of an existing datacenter-demand collapse; it does not rule out a later optical or memory reversal.
