AI Infrastructure Scan
AI Infrastructure Scan
This report tracks the hyperscaler/chip/foundry basket in ai-infra.json (AMZN, NVDA, ASML, TAC, TSM, PLTR, MRVL, ARM, P), not the separate 52-name physical-buildout universe (ai-infrastructure.json); the basket has also grown by two names since the 2026-07-25 edition — AIQ and SMH now appear alongside the original nine, bringing it to 11 tracked names. The clearest move: AMZN's RSI vaulted from 36.3 to 67.7 on a single +15.32% session — the sharpest move in the basket — while the rest of the group broadly recovered off last cycle's cracks; only TAC stayed roughly flat.
FROTH READ: vs VWAP measures distance from the average buyer's cost basis across the instrument's full history.

What's Going On
AMZN is the standout in this basket by a wide margin. Its RSI jumped from 36.3 to 67.7 on a single +15.32% session, and its 7-day change flipped to +17.0% — the sharpest single-name move anywhere in this dashboard, and it now sits at the top of the group's RSI ranking with no death cross.
NVDA and TSM both recovered meaningfully: NVDA's RSI climbed from 43.0 to 48.6 (7D -4.96%→-2.94%, 30D staying positive at +1.6%) and TSM's from 39.0 to 46.2 (30D -13.8%→-9.0%, still a drawdown but narrowing). ASML also improved off last cycle's sharp crack, RSI climbing from 37.1 to 42.8 even as its 7-day change stayed negative (-12.13%→-7.17%).
MRVL and ARM, which had resumed deteriorating last cycle, both ticked up modestly this time. MRVL's RSI rose from 34.3 to 41.6 and its 30-day drawdown narrowed from -37.17% to -31.04%; ARM's RSI moved from 35.9 to 37.5 while its 30-day drawdown stayed roughly flat at -28.97%. Both remain the deepest 30-day drawdowns in the basket even after the improvement.
TAC is the one name that didn't join the recovery — its RSI held at 37.2, almost unchanged from 36.7 last cycle, and its 7-day change stayed nearly identical (-8.93%→-8.89%). PLTR improved slightly again, RSI ticking from 44.5 to 44.2 (essentially flat, still death-crossed). P recovered from its modest weakening last cycle, RSI climbing from 48.0 to 54.7. The two new additions, AIQ and SMH, both recovered this cycle in line with the rest of the basket — AIQ's RSI rose from 37.4 to 45.1 and SMH's from 37.1 to 42.7.

How To Read The Board
RSI < 30 = capitulation zone (check trend/death-cross before treating as a buy). RSI 30-40 = oversold, often still structurally weak in this group. RSI 40-70 = neutral-to-healthy. RSI > 70 = extended. "vs VWAP" measures distance from the average buyer's cost basis — the further above 0%, the more "paid up" the current price relative to its own trading history.

What To Watch Next
- Whether AMZN's sharp single-session repricing (RSI 36.3→67.7) holds or gives back, given how far it moved in one day.
- Whether TAC's failure to join the broader recovery (RSI roughly flat at 37.2) is idiosyncratic or a lead indicator for the rest of the basket.
- Whether MRVL/ARM's modest improvement (30-day drawdowns still -31.04%/-28.97%) extends into a real recovery or stalls again.
- Whether the ai-infra scan slot's expansion from nine to eleven names (adding AIQ, SMH) persists going forward.
