Price truth. Every tape cell below is bound to the desk's October 2 summaries (the freshest row per symbol across all 156 summary files, consolidated into one 1,252-symbol index this session; zero same-date price disagreements across files). Sourced through all 34 of tonight's scans on disk and all 11 candidate roundups, the tracked company-profile library (manifest dated September 30; profiles dated September 28, cited for their stated levels and calls only), and the code-diffed regime-transitions feed for October 2 against October 1. Book-blind run: no holdings, ledgers or account positions were read; entry zones and alerts are market evidence only. Prior digest for carry-forward: the September 25 edition (one week). One correction to tonight's scan corpus: most scans say no article dated October 2 is on file — that is no longer true. The desk captured 66 October 2 articles (stamped captured October 3), and several of them name causes the scans list as unknown (Western Digital/Seagate, Tesla, oil, the jobs report). They are cited below where they apply.
Summary
Friday's tape split in two along the rate line, and the September jobs report did not close the gap. Payrolls rose just 29,000 against an 84,000 forecast and unemployment rose to 4.2% (CNBC, October 2); stocks advanced on the read that it takes pressure off an October Fed hike (Bloomberg, October 2), hike odds collapsed (CNBC), and the dollar had its worst day in a month (Bloomberg) — yet Treasury yields still climbed into the close for a weekly gain (Bloomberg closing-bell coverage; CNBC on the 10-year ticking higher despite the weak data). So the bond complex stayed in capitulation: all five bond and credit funds read below RSI 25 together, high yield the lowest on the board, and real estate is the weakest sector. Financials now sit right on their 200-day (MarketWatch flagged the chart break October 1). European debt fears (Semafor, October 2: UK, Greek and Italian yields up, France at the centre after a failed budget) line up with the euro fund's capitulation-tier reading and Europe's equity funds losing their 200-days.
The other half of the tape is a growth and semiconductor advance that kept extending: technology and the chip fund sit near RSI 69, the wafer-equipment book closed thirteen-for-thirteen green for a second straight scan with positive trailing alpha on every name, optical rallied 25 of 28, and cybersecurity reversed last week's pullback eleven-for-eleven. Two moves the scans list as unexplained have sourced causes on file. Western Digital and Seagate each fell about 10% on worries that Toshiba will raise output of a key AI storage product (MarketWatch, October 2). Tesla's +4.65% came on deliveries that beat Wall Street expectations (MarketWatch, October 2). Oil's Friday dip comes the same day as the G7 agreeing to release up to 100 million barrels of diesel and crude reserves (CNBC, Bloomberg, October 2) — an obvious headwind for the day, though no capture ties the fund's move to it explicitly.
The oversold sweep is wide but mostly damage. 76 individual names are tabled below RSI 40. The consumer and home-improvement cluster (McDonald's, Lowe's, Home Depot, PepsiCo, Nike) and the defense primes (General Dynamics, RTX, Northrop, L3Harris) make up its core. All of them sit below their 200-day, and the primes are oversold even as the war headlines escalated (a third carrier group, a fifth Hormuz tanker strike, new Iran sanctions — CNBC and the desk's October 1 brief). Nike is the one name in that cluster with a dated cause: an October 1 print with an EPS beat and a sales miss. The genuine deep-pullback-in-an-intact-trend names are a short, specific list. ArcelorMittal is the only sub-30 reading in an intact long trend outside clinical-stage biotech. Johnson & Johnson, Incyte, TechnipFMC, Oceaneering, Bread Financial, Bristol-Myers, Krystal Biotech, argenx, Bancolombia, Citigroup and Five Below all dipped into the 30s while still above their 200-day on strong years. CF Industries sits inside its company profile's stated entry band, with its thesis rated intact.
Entry Zones (IN ZONE NOW)
Individual common stocks with normal trade access only. Broad index, sector, bond and commodity funds sit in Sector Rotation below. Leveraged and inverse funds (SOXS, TNA, DUST, LABD, TZA) are never entry candidates and are left out. KRKNF, NOPMF and NEO.TO are OTC or foreign lines: research-only, never a zone. Corteva (CTVA) has no reading: its price history restarts after the October 1 spin-off of Vylor (VYLR), and that distribution is not a move. Action tags: ✅ Buy Zone / 📈 Accumulate / 🔍 Research / ⏳ Stage / ❌ Don't Buy. A name below its 200-day never earns a checkmark. Neither does a clinical-stage biotech, however clean its chart. Zone cells name the 200-day line in play.

Motorola Solutions (MSI) sits above its 200-day on a flat year. AEVEX (AVEX) and DRNZ are too young for a long-horizon read. The OTC and foreign steady climbers NOPMF and NEO.TO dipped into the high 30s inside intact trends but are research-only.
Carried names that left the band (RSI back above 40 at the October 2 close): TSN, ENPH, PATH, RCL, DECK, HP, CCL, ADBE, NCLH, PPC, TE, ARMK, EOSE, BA, MNST, ABNB, PACS, TAC, LION and UNH recovered out of oversold. Carnival's bounce has a sourced candidate cause (an EPS beat on September 29, $1.43 against $1.35 per the earnings record); Royal Caribbean's has none (news pulled October 1, no items). CTVA dropped for the spin-off reason above.

SOFI ($16-$17) fell through the bottom of its zone. PLTR's $187 profit target is a position-management level and does not belong in a book-blind digest. Sector Rotation Signals
| Signal | Trigger | What It Means | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bonds and credit stayed in capitulation through a weak jobs report | HYG RSI 17.7, LQD 22.7, TLT 23.5, BND 24.5, IEF 24.6; all below their 200-days on negative years. Payrolls +29,000 vs 84,000 expected, unemployment 4.2% (CNBC, Oct 2); yields still climbed into the close (Bloomberg, Oct 2) | The rate shock did not break on soft data; oversold is not turned — none rose meaningfully on the day | 🔴 Capitulation, no turn |
| Real estate is the weakest sector | XLRE RSI 21.7, -2.62% 1Y | Last edition's positive-year turn reversed — it was an artifact, not a repair | 🔴 Capitulation |
| Financials lost the rate-sensitivity exemption | XLF RSI 25.9, -0.4% vs its 200-day; KRE RSI 39.9, 0.3% | Last edition's stabilization did not hold; the sector's long trend is under test right at the line (MarketWatch, Oct 1) | 🔴 Under test |
| Utilities: capitulation-adjacent, with a contrarian bounce call | XLU RSI 34.2, -10.3% vs its 200-day; CNBC (Oct 2) carried a call that utilities look poised for a bounce, citing a large options bet read as a possible top in yields | A dated sell-side view, not price evidence; the long trend is still broken | 🟡 Watch |
| Growth and semis keep extending | XLK RSI 68.8 (21.1% vs its 200-day), SMH RSI 68.6 (86.44% 1Y) | Leadership intact; extension, not damage, is the risk — synchronized breadth is also the setup for a synchronized pullback | 🟢 Extending |
| Cybersecurity and cloud re-extended | CIBR 3.71% on the week; WCLD 2.38%, IGV 2.28% (IGV still -6.3% on the year) | Last edition's cooling was a pullback inside an intact trend, now reversed; no dated cause on file | 🟢 Confirmed |
| Breadth gap persists | RSP RSI 37.1, IWM RSI 39.6 — both still 1.9% / 1.9% above their 200-days | Equal-weight and small caps are pullbacks in intact trends; the narrowness is the concern, not damage | 🟡 Unresolved |
| Dollar up, euro and Europe down | UUP RSI 72.6; FXE RSI 22.4; VGK -1.4%, EWG -2.5% vs 200-days. Dollar had its worst day in a month on the jobs data (Bloomberg, Oct 2); European debt-crisis fears lifted UK, Greek and Italian yields (Semafor, Oct 2) | The dollar's overbought reading met its first soft day; Europe's break has a dated macro cause | 🔴 Europe broken / 🟠 dollar extended |
| Every metals fund is now under its 200-day | GDX -3.6%, SLV -17%, GLD -8.7% | The miners joined bullion below the line this week; real yields, not war risk, are pricing metals | 🔴 Broken further |
| Oil: long trend intact, Friday soft on a dated supply headline | USO -1.77% on the day, 106% 1Y, 28% vs its 200-day; BNO 5.78% on the week. G7 to release up to 100M barrels of diesel and crude reserves (CNBC, Bloomberg, Oct 2) | A pause inside the strongest long trend on the macro board; the war thread (third carrier group, Oct 1–2 CNBC) and the reserve release pull opposite ways | 🟢 Intact / 🟡 two-sided |
| Defense primes paying no war premium | ITA RSI 26.4, -9.8% vs its 200-day; RTX, NOC and GD in capitulation-tier RSI | Escalation headlines did not lift the group; October 20 prime reports are the next scheduled test | 🔴 Drawdown |
| Housing's two-week divergence ended | ITB -11%, XHB -8.9% vs 200-days, both negative years | Last edition's green reads did not hold | 🔴 Broken |
| Airlines faded, cruises bounced | JETS -1.4% vs its 200-day (lost the reclaim); CCL 15.78%, RCL 14.44% on the week | Carnival's September 29 EPS beat is a sourced candidate for the cruise move; both cruise lines stay under their 200-days | 🟡 Split |
| Memory: a sourced shock inside intact trends | WDC -10.22%, STX -10.21% on the day (Toshiba output worry, MarketWatch, Oct 2) | A fundamental pricing-power concern, not a tape glitch; STX keeps a wide cushion, WDC a thin one | 🟡 Watch the 200-day |
| Income sleeve slipping | SCHD RSI 30.9 (3.2% above its 200-day); regime uptrend→basing tonight | A close under the 200-day would turn a dip into a trend problem | 🟡 Watch |

No crossing tonight carries a thesis rating. The named rows cross-check the boards above: Bancolombia's uptrend→pullback is the same dip that put it in the Entry Zones; DBA and SCHD both shifted to basing as their alerts above describe; Hormel slid back into downtrend; FormFactor, Cohu and Elastic moved up into uptrend with the equipment and software rallies; Syntec Optics (OPTX) left collapse after reclaiming its 200-day in the optical book; AeroVironment's continued collapse is inert. The remaining items sort into: pullback→uptrend 7 total, downtrend→collapse 4 (three inert: GIS, HGRAF, JACK), uptrend→pullback 4, uptrend→basing 4, pullback→downtrend 3, pullback→basing 2, basing→uptrend 2, downtrend→pullback 2, pullback→collapse 1 (LQDA), collapse→pullback 1, pullback→parabolic 1 (PACB), downtrend→parabolic 1 (QSI), collapse→downtrend 1 (SHLS, inert) — upward crossings outnumber downward ones, in line with the semis-and-software tape.
Insider Activity Summary
| Signal | Stocks | Implication |
|---|---|---|
| Golden signal (oversold + buying): none for a tenth straight week | Nothing in the insider universe closed below RSI 30; the closest name, NFLX, carries selling, not buying | The clean read now spans ten cycles |
| Insider buying frozen a fifth straight week | TSLA +$221.0M, CRSP +$26.7M, ASAN +$4.5M, INTC +$2.4M, TSM +$1.5M — identical to last edition | Unchanged dollars across editions need a filing check before anyone leans on them |
| Heaviest tracked selling unchanged at the top | AMZN -$9.4B, NVDA -$4.0B, LLY -$3.0B, PLTR -$2.0B, AVGO -$1.9B | Same top five, same figures |
| Selling concentrated in the strongest trends | NVDA, PANW, CRWD and AMD all sit well above their 200-days on large years | Insider selling here is a poor standalone sell signal |
| Where selling and the chart agree | NFLX (RSI 31.1, -$1.0B), SOFI (RSI 36.2, -$517.0M), EOSE, RBLX | Damage, not a value signal |
| One large mover with no cause on file | MDB -12.79% on the week; news last pulled September 28, no stock event, no October 1-2 capture | Cause not established; still above its 200-day |
| The report prints only its top 20 sellers | 52 selling names counted, 32 unnamed | A known truncation in the source report |

Closed from last edition: XLRE's positive-year turn (reversed: an artifact), financials/KRE stabilization (did not hold), cybersecurity/cloud cooling (reversed into a rally), housing's divergence (did not survive), Arm's giveback floor (it bounced; RSI back in the high 50s), and MU into its print (the print happened September 30).
The Gold
Top Signal
The rate line still sorts the board, and a weak jobs report did not move it. Payrolls came in at 29,000 against 84,000 expected and October hike odds collapsed, but yields climbed into Friday's close and every bond and credit fund stayed in capitulation. Real estate, financials (now right at their 200-day), Europe and the metals all sit on the wrong side of that line. Semis, equipment, optical and cybersecurity sit on the right side and kept extending. The best entry-shaped readings tonight are few and specific. ArcelorMittal is the one sub-30 print in an intact long trend outside clinical-stage biotech, and its drop has no news receipt on file, so pull news before acting. Johnson & Johnson, Incyte, TechnipFMC, Oceaneering, Bread Financial, Krystal Biotech, argenx, Bancolombia, Bristol-Myers, Citigroup and Five Below are 30s-RSI dips above their 200-days on strong years. CF Industries is the thesis-backed one: inside its profile's $111–$118 band with the thesis rated intact, but on a thinning 200-day cushion and a profile rated low conviction. Everything else oversold — the consumer/home-improvement cluster and the defense primes above all — is damage below the 200-day, not discount.
Key Discoveries
| Discovery | Implication |
|---|---|
| The desk holds 66 articles dated October 2 (captured October 3), although most of tonight's scans say none exist | Several scan "cause unknown" calls are now sourced: Western Digital/Seagate (Toshiba output worry, MarketWatch), Tesla (deliveries beat, MarketWatch), the jobs report and its rate read (CNBC, Bloomberg), oil (G7 reserve release, CNBC/Bloomberg) |
| Soft payrolls cut Fed-hike odds and knocked the dollar, but Treasury yields still rose into the close and the bond funds stayed in capitulation | The rate shock did not break on soft data; bond oversold readings remain a screen, not a turn |
| Financials slipped to just under their 200-day, reversing last edition's stabilization | The last rate-sensitive group that had been holding up is now under test |
| The defense primes (RTX, NOC, GD) fell into capitulation-tier RSI during a week of escalating war headlines | No war premium in the primes; the October 20 reports are the scheduled test |
| ArcelorMittal and a short list of 30s-RSI names (JNJ, INCY, FTI, OII, BFH, KRYS, ARGX, CIB, BMY, C, FIVE) are dips above rising 200-days on strong years | The intact-trend entry pool tonight sits in the momentum board's steady-climber and secular tiers, not in the oversold scans |
| Western Digital's drop has a fundamental cause (supply competition on AI storage pricing) and leaves it just above its 200-day | Treat as a thesis question (pricing power), not a pure tape dip |
| Neocloud read-through: CoreWeave joined the turnaround watch list just under its 200-day on a negative year; Nebius stays well above its 200-day on a strong year | The focus lane is split as before; no big event on either name tonight |
