Eighteen of twenty-one names fell this week, and the one that had been carrying the board fell with them: Bloom Energy lost 3.67% on the week and 5.39% on Friday alone, days after index inclusion was confirmed. T1 Energy had the worst week at -9.54%, Rivian -6.49%, First Solar -6.25%, Albemarle -5.62%. The Chinese electric-vehicle names were the only green corner — Li Auto +2.79%, XPeng +0.76% — off deeply damaged bases. With the Fed raising rates on Wednesday, the capital-intensive end of this board took the week's worst of it.

Data as-of the 2026-09-18 close. Prior scan: 2026-09-11-ev-clean-energy (data as-of the 2026-09-11 close). The 7-day window runs 2026-09-11 to 2026-09-18, so the comparisons below line up exactly with that scan.

Quick Snapshot

Signal Reading
Overall 🔴 Broad decline — eighteen of twenty-one red on the week, ten names at RSI 40 or below, and only one name on the board with an intact strong trend.
Leaders LI (+2.79%), XPEV (+0.76%), SEDG (0.00%) — the only rows not down, all three from damaged bases.
Laggards TE (-9.54%), RIVN (-6.49%), FSLR (-6.25%), ALB (-5.62%), SQM (-3.09%).
Caveat This board's news layer is thin. Pulls for LCID (July 17), ALB (July 29), FSLR (August 18) and SQM (August 25) all predate the week and cannot rule a catalyst in or out. BYDDY has left this list — it was retired from the watchlist on September 12 as non-tradeable — so its row is gone by coverage change, not by a market event.

What's Going On

Bloom Energy is the story, in both directions. The company's addition to the S&P 500 was confirmed on September 16 and takes effect before the open on Monday, September 21, and the stock climbed midday Wednesday on it. It still finished the week down 3.67%, and Friday alone took 5.39% off it. The long numbers remain in a different league from anything else here — 33.6% above its 200-day, +228.06% on the trailing year, +28.55% on the month — so this is an exceptional trend giving something back into a scheduled event, not a break. RSI eased from 65.0 to 57.5.

T1 Energy had the worst week on the board at -9.54% and is now 36.5% below its 200-day and 55.4% below where it traded three months ago. Its trailing year is still +124.19%, which is the shape of a name that re-rated violently and is giving it all back. The most recent items on file are its August 12 second-quarter report and a September 9 call transcript describing a $120 million convertible note to fund its Austin fab; nothing dated inside this week covers the decline.

The solar and lithium complexes both fell again. First Solar lost 6.25% and is 14.1% under its 200-day with a -6.52% year; its news pull has not refreshed since August 18, when the file's last substantive item was a 12.8% single-day slump on a below-consensus annual sales forecast. Enphase fell 4.70%, the solar fund 3.16%, Nextracker 2.92%. Albemarle lost another 5.62% and is now 29.1% under its 200-day with the month at -17.40%; SQM lost 3.09% with the month at -10.16%. Both lithium names still carry strongly positive trailing years — +37.04% and +57.05% — so the multi-year record is intact even as the twelve-week damage accumulates. Neither has a news pull covering this week.

Rivian fell 6.49%, its worst week in this stretch, and dropped from RSI 49.6 to 39.6. Yahoo Finance ran a piece on September 14 titled "The EV Bubble Has Burst," framed around how to play the stock; the company's own pull, fresh on September 17, returned aggregator pages only, so no cause is established. Lucid remains the most damaged structure on the board by a wide margin — 83.79% below its 52-week high, 49.4% below its 200-day, -80.05% on the year — though its week was a milder -3.08% and RSI ticked up from 30.8 to 32.8. Nio is now the board's lowest print at RSI 30.4 after a nearly flat week (-0.81%).

Tesla did almost nothing: -0.32% on the week, RSI 53.8, still 8.3% under its 200-day with a -12.61% trailing year. The month has cooled from +11.58% to +3.75%.

How To Read The Board

The rows here are screen evidence. On this board more than any other in the batch, the 200-day average and the trailing year tell a different story from the week, so read them together.

One name is unambiguously strong: Bloom Energy, 33.6% over its 200-day with a +228.06% year. Four more are damaged short-term but carry genuinely positive multi-year records — TE (+124.19% year), ENS (+59.94%), SQM (+57.05%), ALB (+37.04%) — and all four sit below their 200-day averages right now. That combination is a deep pullback inside a trend that worked, and it is a different animal from the rest of this board. LIT (+34.23% year), DRIV (+19.73%) and ICLN (+16.76%) are milder versions of the same.

Ten names are weak on both clocks at once: TSLA, LI, NIO, XPEV, LCID, PLUG, ENPH, SEDG, FSLR and KARS. Every one is below its 200-day with a flat-to-negative trailing year. A low RSI in that group is the trend continuing, not a discount, and Lucid at 49.4% below its 200-day with a -80.05% year is the extreme case.

Nextracker sits between: 25.6% under its 200-day with a +14.17% year but no excess return over the market. Rivian is close behind at 8.0% under its 200-day with a +2.11% year.

The macro backdrop is documented and unattributed: the Fed raised rates a quarter point on Wednesday, the first increase in three years, which is the kind of move that hits long-duration capital-intensive names hardest. No receipt on this board ties any individual decline to it.

Entry Zones

Conditions, not advice.

Stock Entry zone Thesis / condition
BE $240.45 (20-day) as support, 10.5% below the close The board's one intact strong trend, giving back into an index addition that takes effect September 21. Extension is the risk, not the trend.
ENS $181.58 (20-day) reclaim +59.94% trailing year with only a 5.2% gap to its 200-day — the mildest damage among the names with a real multi-year record.
SQM, ALB Watch the 200-day gaps, 11.5% and 29.1% overhead Strong trailing years (+57.05%, +37.04%) against a fourth straight scan of decline; no news pull covers any of it. Deep pullback, unresolved.
TE No zone until the three-month slide stops +124.19% year, but -55.40% over three months and 36.5% below its 200-day. The year's record does not price this week's risk.
LIT, DRIV, ICLN 2.3% to 6.6% below their 200-days Basket exposure with positive trailing years and modest structural damage — the least single-name risk on this board.
TSLA, LI, NIO, XPEV, LCID, PLUG, ENPH, SEDG, FSLR, KARS No zone Below the 200-day with flat-to-negative trailing years. Oversold here is the trend.

What To Watch Next

Watch Why it matters
Bloom Energy after Monday's index addition The event is scheduled for before the open on September 21; the stock already gave back 5.39% on Friday ahead of it.
Whether the lithium slide is finding a floor Albemarle's month is now -17.40% and SQM's -10.16%, the fourth consecutive scan of decline, with no news pull covering any of it.
T1 Energy's three-month collapse (-55.40%) A +124.19% trailing year is not protection when the last quarter has gone this way; watch whether the week's -9.54% extends.
Rivian below its 200-day It broke from RSI 49.6 to 39.6 in one week and its pull returned aggregator pages only.
Whether the Chinese names' green week is anything Li Auto and XPeng were the only gainers, from bases 55% and 62% below their 52-week highs.

The Gold

Key Discoveries

Discovery Implication
Bloom Energy fell on the week and 5.39% on Friday, days after index inclusion was confirmed A scheduled, dated catalyst did not hold the board's strongest name up; it is the one row here with an intact strong trend.
Four names — TE, ENS, SQM, ALB — carry strongly positive years from below their 200-days Deep pullback inside a trend that worked is a different case from the ten names weak on both clocks.
Ten of twenty-one names are below their 200-day with a flat-to-negative year This board's oversold prints are mostly trend, not discount.

Mistakes (Don't Repeat)

Mistake Lesson
Treating a dropped row as a market event BYDDY left this board by watchlist retirement on September 12, not by any price move.
Reading T1 Energy's +124.19% year as support The same name is down 55.40% over three months and 36.5% under its 200-day. The windows disagree, and the short one is the live one.

Open Questions

  • Does Bloom Energy's Friday give-back continue through its index addition, or reverse on it?
  • Have the lithium names found a floor after four scans of decline, or is this the start of a fifth?
  • Does the rate increase explain the capital-intensive end of this board, or is that a story fitted to a chart? No receipt here ties them.
