Insider Activity Scan
Insider Activity Scan
The buying side widened back to five names and the two biggest sellers in this universe reappeared at the top of the report after a week of invisibility. Tesla (+$219.0M) and CRISPR Therapeutics (+$28.1M) rejoined Asana, Intel and TSMC on the insider-buying list, taking it from three names to five. On the other side, Amazon (-$9.4B) and Nvidia (-$3.9B) are back as the two largest tracked sellers — last week's report did not show them, and this week's does, which closes the visibility gap flagged then rather than confirming any change in behaviour. Nothing in this 59-stock universe closed below a momentum reading of 30 for a seventh straight week, so the golden signal — oversold plus insider buying — stays at zero.
Prices and technicals are Friday's settled 2026-09-18 close. The insider dollar figures come from the Form 4 report run this session; that report's own price and momentum columns are not used anywhere in this scan.
Quick Snapshot
| Signal | Reading |
|---|---|
| Overall | 🟡 Buying list widened 3 → 5; the top-of-report visibility gap closed; still no oversold name anywhere in the universe |
| Golden signals (oversold + buying) | 0 — seventh straight week |
| Selling into a dip (oversold + selling) | 0 |
| Insider buying | 5 names: TSLA +$219.0M, CRSP +$28.1M, ASAN +$8.7M, INTC +$2.4M, TSM +$1.5M |
| Insider selling | 52 names; heaviest are AMZN -$9.4B, NVDA -$3.9B, LLY -$3.0B, PLTR -$2.0B, AVGO -$1.6B |
| Leaders | MRNA (1Y +505.3%, 155.7% above its 200-day), INTC (+255.3%), AMD (+254.5%), DOCN (+249.7%), MRVL (+229.0%) |
| Laggards | RBLX (1Y -64.7%), HIMS (-50.2%), PINS (-48.8%), NFLX (-40.6%), SOFI (-39.7%) — all below their 200-day averages |
| Week's biggest move | ZS +19.92% and CRWD +14.95% on the week; CEG -10.55%, the worst |
| Caveat | The full report lists its 52 sellers but prints only the top 20 by size, then truncates. The 32 smaller selling positions are counted but not named here |
| Key insight | Heavy insider selling in this universe is overwhelmingly concentrated in names with strong multi-year trends, not weak ones — which makes it a poor standalone sell signal and a reason to read each name's trend separately |
What's Going On
The buying list went from three names to five. Tesla (+$219.0M) and CRISPR Therapeutics (+$28.1M) are back after dropping off last week; Asana (+$8.7M), Intel (+$2.4M) and TSMC (+$1.5M) carried over unchanged. Last week's edition could not tell whether Tesla and CRISPR had flipped negative or simply fallen below the report's threshold — this week answers that: both are back on the buying side at figures identical to two weeks ago. The figures themselves have not moved in weeks, which means these are carried Form 4 positions, not fresh purchases into this week's tape.
Amazon and Nvidia are visible again as the two heaviest sellers. Amazon shows -$9.4B and Nvidia -$3.9B in tracked insider selling, restoring the top of the ranking that last week's run did not display. Behind them: Eli Lilly -$3.0B, Palantir -$2.0B, Broadcom -$1.6B, Palo Alto Networks -$1.4B, Airbnb -$1.3B, Snowflake -$1.1B, Netflix -$1.0B and Coinbase -$880.5M. Fifty-two of the 59 names carry net selling. The size of that list is the point: selling is the default state here, so it separates almost nothing on its own.
Security software was the week's engine, and none of it has a cause on file. Zscaler rose 19.92% on the week to $197.31, CrowdStrike 14.95% to $237.65, Palo Alto Networks 9.96% to $363.58 and Fortinet 8.82% to $169.84 — four of this universe's ten best weeks, all in one industry. Three of the four sit 49% to 62% above their 200-day averages with one-year gains of +76.8% to +109.7%; Zscaler is the exception, up 17.2% over its 200-day but still -32.2% on the year. News was pulled for Zscaler, CrowdStrike and Palo Alto on September 17, and none of those pulls names this week's move; the dated filings on record for the group are the early-September earnings prints, which predate the run. Cause unknown for the week itself.
Constellation Energy was the worst name in the universe and is now structurally damaged. It closed $254.71, down 10.55% on the week and 7.1% on the month, with a momentum reading of 36.4 — and, more importantly, -21.1% on the year and 13.0% below its 200-day average. A week ago the companion tech scan had it at -10.5% on the year and 3.6% below its 200-day. Both figures roughly doubled in a week. News was pulled September 17 and returns quote pages only; no filing or event on this desk's record covers the move. That is a long trend genuinely under test, not a pullback, and the name matters beyond this scan given its place in the power complex.
Netflix keeps getting worse and remains the cleanest case where insider selling and the chart agree. $71.79, down 7.25% on the week, momentum 36.3, -40.6% on the year and 16.0% below its 200-day — all three worse than last week's -35.7% and -10.3%. It carries -$1.0B of tracked insider selling. Contrast that with AMD (-$470.5M sold, +254.5% on the year, 57.9% above its 200-day), Broadcom (-$1.6B sold, +3.6% on the year, 3.1% below its 200-day) and Palantir (-$2.0B sold, +0.4% on the year, 17.1% above) — in most of this universe the selling points one way and the trend another.
Nothing is oversold, for the seventh week running. The lowest momentum reading in the universe is Pinterest at 33.3, followed by Zoom (35.0), Netflix (36.3) and Constellation (36.4). Of those four, three are below their 200-day averages with negative one-year returns; Zoom is the odd one out, marginally positive on the year (+2.2%) and 2.4% below its 200-day.
What Changed Since Prior Scan (2026-09-11 → 2026-09-18)
Prior-week figures are from the September 11 edition of this scan.
| Change | Read |
|---|---|
| Buying list widened 3 → 5 — TSLA (+$219.0M) and CRSP (+$28.1M) returned | Both are carried figures at values identical to two weeks ago, not fresh purchases |
| AMZN (-$9.4B) and NVDA (-$3.9B) visible again at the top | The gap flagged last week is closed by visibility, not by a change in the underlying selling |
| Security software ripped — ZS +19.92%, CRWD +14.95%, PANW +9.96%, FTNT +8.82% on the week | Four of the ten best weeks here, in one industry, with no sourced driver in this desk's pulls |
| CEG deteriorated sharply — 1Y -10.5% → -21.1%, 200-day gap -3.6% → -13.0% (09-11 read from the companion tech scan) | Worst week in the universe at -10.55%. A long trend now under test |
| NFLX deepened again — 1Y -35.7% → -40.6%, 200-day gap -10.3% → -16.0% | The most structurally damaged heavy-seller, worse on every window |
| PANW repaired sharply — 1Y +66.7% → +76.8%, 200-day cushion +40.1% → +51.1% | Last week's beat-then-sell-off name reversed in one week |
| AVGO slipped a little further below its 200-day — -2.2% → -3.1% | One-year return is +3.6%; a trend right at its test line, neither repaired nor broken |
| Still no oversold name, 7 weeks running — floor moved from PINS 30.8 to PINS 33.3 | The universe's weakest name got less oversold, not more |
How To Read The Board
Two independent sources meet in this scan and they answer different questions. The Form 4 dollar figures say who inside the company transacted and for how much; they are cumulative tracked positions, they change slowly, and several have been frozen at the same value for weeks — a frozen figure is not a fresh signal. The price table says what the market did, and every number in it is Friday's settled close. Where the two disagree, neither is wrong: heavy selling in a name with a +254% year (AMD) and heavy selling in a name with a -41% year (NFLX) are entirely different situations, and this board keeps the one-year and 200-day columns visible so the difference is readable rather than assumed. A low momentum reading is a description of recent price, not a recommendation. The full report names its 52 sellers but prints only the largest 20, so the smaller selling positions are counted in the tally and absent from the table below. No cause is attached to any price move in this scan except where a dated filing or article is named.

Tier Analysis
Capitulation (RSI below 25): None — seventh straight week.
Oversold (RSI 25-40): PINS (33.3), ZM (35.0), NFLX (36.3), CEG (36.4), ENPH (38.7), UBER (39.3). Six names, up from one a week ago. Five of the six are below their 200-day averages and five of the six are negative on the year — this tier is structural damage, not discount. Constellation Energy is the new entrant and the one worth attention: it was in the neutral tier a week ago.
Neutral / Strong (RSI 40+): The remaining 53 names, topped by TMO (67.6), META (65.8), AMD (65.4), AAPL (64.3), MRNA and ZS (63.3). Nothing in this universe is overbought above 70.
Entry Zones
Conditions, not advice.
| Stock | Entry Zone | Thesis |
|---|---|---|
| INTC | Current $108.60; 20-day at $95.87 | The only name carrying insider buying alongside a +255.3% year and a 40.8% cushion. It is 13.3% above its own 20-day, so there is no discount at this price — a pullback toward $95.87 is the condition |
| ASAN | Current $9.51, sitting exactly on its 20-day | Insider buying carried, 9.7% above its 200-day, but a -33.8% year. A cheap chart on a weak long trend; the 200-day is the only thing holding |
| CRSP | Current $56.56; 200-day at $53.32, nearest support shelf $54.86 | Buying returned this week alongside the best week of the five (+9.36%). The year is still -10.1% |
| MDB | Current $383.56; 200-day at $344.39 | Down 12.93% on the month inside a +21.3% year with an 11.4% cushion — the cleanest deep-pullback shape among the sellers |
| ASML / VRTX | ASML $1,679.28 (200-day $1,509.47); VRTX $508.34 | Both pulling back under their 20-days inside strong years (+81.0%, +31.3%) with intact cushions |
| CEG | Not a zone — under test | Down 10.55% in a week to -21.1% on the year and 13.0% below its 200-day, with no cause on file. Verify before treating the drop as a discount |
| NFLX, PINS, SOFI, RBLX, EOSE | Not zones — broken | Negative years below their 200-day averages. Low momentum here is damage, not value |

What To Watch Next
- Constellation Energy. One week took it from a mild negative to -21.1% on the year and 13.0% below its 200-day, with nothing on file to explain it. Either a cause surfaces or the power complex has a name in genuine decline.
- Does security software hold its week? Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto and Fortinet all ran together without a driver on record. Zscaler is the tell: at 17.2% above its 200-day and -32.2% on the year, one more week decides whether that is a repair or a squeeze.
- Whether the Tesla and CRISPR buying figures ever move. Both returned this week at values unchanged from two weeks ago. A frozen figure is a report artifact, not a signal, and the next run either refreshes it or it should be discounted.
- Broadcom's 200-day. Three weeks of hovering within 3% of the line with a flat year. It resolves one way or the other.
- Whether anything in this universe ever gets oversold. Seven weeks without a single name below 30, and the floor rose this week to 33.3. The golden signal cannot fire until that changes.
