Tech Insider Buys Scan
Security and data software pushed further into overbought — Okta (RSI 76.5, 101.1% above its 200-day), Palantir, Datadog, Zscaler and Fortinet all closed above 70 — while the chip names took the week's damage: Arm fell 13.4% and Intel 12.26%, both still well above their 200-day averages. The five insider buyers are unchanged; Asana's 16.82% week is the only buyer chart that improved materially, and Tesla is still under its 200-day.
Data as of the settled Friday, October 9 close, per the desk's price summaries; all 42 rows carry that date. Insider dollar figures for the five buyers come from the Form 4 net-flow report run on October 9 (net dollars only — no insider names or filing dates) and are labelled where used.
Quick Snapshot
| Signal | Reading |
|---|---|
| Overall | 🟡 Security and data software extended; chips pulling back inside intact trends; application software and Tesla still repairing |
| Insider buying on this list | TSLA +$221.0M, CRSP +$26.6M, ASAN +$4.5M, INTC +$2.4M, TSM +$1.5M |
| Leaders (one year) | BE (223.72%), MRVL (203.57%), INTC (176.98%), AMD (161.11%), OKTA (147.9%, 101.1% vs its 200-day) |
| Laggards (one year) | INTU (-53.06%, thesis flagged broken), HUBS (-49.6%), IONQ (-48.53%), ADBE (-30.28%), SMCI (-27.8%) |
| Extended (RSI 70+) | OKTA (76.5), PLTR (76.3), DDOG (73.4), ZS (72.9), FTNT (72.7) |
| Below 200-day | TSLA (-2%), AVGO (-1.8%), ADBE (-5.7%), INTU (-21.2%), HUBS (-5.8%), IONQ (-7.8%) |
| Caveat | Insider dollar figures cover only the five buyers. CRISPR's figure moved slightly from last edition, so the window refreshed for at least one buyer; the other four did not change |
| Key insight | Insider buyers are still not in the hot names. They sit in a below-200-day Tesla, two negative-year small caps, and two chip trends that just pulled back |
What's Going On
Security and data software ran further. Okta closed $232.13 at RSI 76.5, 0.36% under its high and 101.1% above its 200-day with a one-year gain of 147.9% — a parabolic extension, not a base. Zscaler rose 18.89% on the week to RSI 72.9 though its year is still -25.85%. Fortinet (72.7, 0.1% under its high), Datadog (73.4) and Palantir (76.3) complete the overbought group; CrowdStrike (64.9) and Palo Alto (63.1) are strong but below 70. Atlassian (RSI 66.2, up 10.06% on the week) and Veeva (69.3) also sit near their highs. Okta's news was last pulled October 3 (not pulled for this move), Zscaler's October 8 pull holds only quote and data pages, and there are no October 9 captures; stock-events checked; cause not on file.
Chips took the week's damage, inside intact trends. Arm fell 13.4% to $266.28 (RSI 43.9, 41.18% off its high) but remains 21% above its 200-day on a 56.03% year; Intel fell 12.26% and is still 26.1% above its 200-day. The AI-hardware group sold on October 8 after OpenAI told investors its annualized revenue was about $50 billion (CNBC), a worry Bloomberg said spread to chipmakers; Intel also slid on October 5 after Elon Musk said talks with TSMC on his Terafab venture were ongoing (MarketWatch). AMD (RSI 57.2, down 4.07%), TSMC (52.4) and ASML (52.4, down 4.66%) cooled out of the overbought zone. Broadcom is the exception in the other direction: up 1.8% on the week but still 1.8% under its 200-day.
The insider buyers. Tesla (+$221.0M) closed $382.70, 2% under its 200-day with a -12.13% year — the largest buyer has not repaired its long trend. Asana (+$4.5M) rose 16.82% to $10.07, 8.7% above its 20-day, though its year is still -33.71%; its news was last pulled September 17, so news was not pulled for this move, and its cause is not on file. CRISPR (+$26.6M) sits 0.3% above its 200-day on a -28.74% year. Intel (+$2.4M) and TSMC (+$1.5M) are buyer-backed trends that pulled back this week.
Quantum slipped; power repaired. IonQ fell 8.86% on the week and is back 7.8% under its 200-day (one-year -48.53%). Quantum names sold as a group on October 7 and 8 (market briefs for those days); IonQ's October 8 news pull holds only quote and aggregator pages, so its cause is not on file. Constellation rose 15.76% on the week and reclaimed its 200-day after jumping 12% on October 6 on a Google nuclear power agreement (Bloomberg; MarketWatch).
MongoDB recovered. MDB rose 7.81% on the week to RSI 52.5, 13% above its 200-day — last edition's slide did not extend.
What Changed Since Prior Scan (2026-10-02 → 2026-10-09)

| Arm and Intel took double-digit weekly declines | Both remain well above their 200-days |

| CEG reclaimed its 200-day | Year still negative |
| MDB rebounded above its 20-day | Last edition's largest decliner |

How To Read The Board
This is a technology and growth universe screened for insider interest. Price, momentum and return figures are raw screen evidence from the desk's summaries; insider dollars appear only for the five buyers. A strong chart plus insider buying is the best case; a weak chart plus buying is a research prompt, not a signal.

What To Watch Next
- Do the buyers' charts repair? Tesla's 200-day is $390.60.
- Arm's 50-day ($269.86) and Intel's ($103.08). Arm closed under its 50-day; Intel is just above. Holding or retaking these keeps the chip pullback a flag.
- Do OKTA, PLTR, DDOG, ZS and FTNT cool from RSI 70+ or keep extending?
- TSMC's report, scheduled for October 15 (per the October 8 market brief), lands on a buyer-backed name that just cooled.
- IonQ's 200-day ($43.27). A quick reclaim would undo this week's break.
