Two names fell into oversold territory this week that were fine seven days ago — DECK's RSI collapsed from 50.7 to 34.7 on a -9.81% week, and XLY's structure flipped from golden cross to death cross as its RSI dropped from 46.0 to 32.9. PYPL, last scan's parabolic story, is cooling rather than reversing: RSI eased from 80.3 to 75.1 while price held roughly flat, still the most extended name on the board. HIMS kept sliding — the "digestion turned decline" call from last scan is now a fourth straight week of deterioration (RSI 36.6, 7D -14.46%).

Quick Snapshot

Signal Reading
Overall 🟡 A cooling week across the board — two names (DECK, XLY) fell into oversold, PYPL decelerated from deep overbought, and HIMS kept declining.
Key insight DECK's RSI dropped 16 points in a week (50.7→34.7, -9.81% 7D) — one of two names that joined the oversold tier this scan with no basing evidence yet.

What's Going On

PYPL is still the most extended name on this board, but the story has changed from momentum to deceleration. Last scan it printed RSI 80.3 on a +22.11% weekly pop; this week RSI eased to 75.1 while the price held essentially flat ($56.56→$56.15) and the 7-day change flipped from +22.11% to -0.72%. That's a cooldown, not a reversal — the 30-day change is still +32.18%, barely off last scan's +33.05% — but it confirms PYPL is no longer accelerating.

The more notable development is that two names crossed into oversold territory that showed no stress at all last scan. DECK's RSI fell from 50.7 to 34.7 on a -9.81% weekly decline, and XLY's RSI dropped from 46.0 to 32.9 on a -5.22% week — and XLY's underlying structure actually flipped from golden cross to death cross in the process, a real trend change rather than a one-week wobble.

HIMS continued the reversal flagged two scans ago: RSI fell further from 48.4 to 36.6, with the 7-day change worsening from -4.48% to -14.46% and the 30-day change deepening from -7.41% to -14.1%. It's now the third name sitting closest to the oversold line alongside DECK and XLY, though it hasn't crossed it yet.

Elsewhere, AS and CMG both cooled meaningfully — AS's RSI dropped from 59.8 to 45.1 as its weekly change flipped from +4.71% to -6.92%, and CMG fell from 53.4 to 41.7. DPZ was the lone name to strengthen, with RSI improving from 57.5 to 61.0 and the 30-day change jumping from +3.11% to +15.77%. NKE and LULU stayed rangebound, unchanged in structure from last scan.

What Changed Since Prior Scan (2026-07-17 → 2026-07-24)

  • DECK fell into oversold: RSI 50.7→34.7, price $106.49→$96.04, 7D +0.47%→-9.81%, 30D -2.40%→-9.14%.
  • XLY's structure flipped golden cross→death cross: RSI 46.0→32.9, price $115.44→$109.41, 7D -1.54%→-5.22%.
  • PYPL decelerated: RSI 80.3→75.1, price roughly flat ($56.56→$56.15), 7D +22.11%→-0.72% — still the most extended name, but no longer accelerating.
  • HIMS continued declining: RSI 36.6, 7D -4.48%→-14.46%, 30D -7.41%→-14.1% — a fourth straight week of deterioration.
  • AS cooled sharply: RSI 59.8→45.1, 7D +4.71%→-6.92%.
  • DPZ was the one name to strengthen: RSI 57.5→61.0, 30D +3.11%→+15.77%.
  • CMG cooled: RSI 53.4→41.7, 7D -2.30%→-7.69%.
  • NKE, LULU: essentially unchanged in structure — no new signal either way.

How To Read The Board

"Golden cross" (SBUX, DECK, CROX, XYZ, CRSR) means the 50-day average sits above the 200-day — a longer-term uptrend confirmation, not a buy signal on its own. Note DECK still carries the cross even after this week's drop into oversold; the cross lags price, so the "down" trend label matters more right now than the cross itself. "Death cross" names (AS, LULU, NKE, CMG, DPZ, HIMS, PYPL, XLY) should have any bounce read as counter-trend until the cross flips — XLY is the new addition to this list this scan. RSI above 70 flags a name getting extended; PYPL at 75.1 is still there, just less extreme than last week's 80.3.

Tier Analysis

Capitulation (RSI<25): None.

Oversold (25-40): DECK (34.7), HIMS (36.6), XLY (32.9) — three names now in this bucket, up from zero last scan. None shows basing evidence yet.

Neutral/Strong (40+): The rest of the board, spanning CMG at 41.7 up to PYPL at 75.1. DPZ (61.0) and CROX (59.4) remain the strongest structures; PYPL is still the clear "don't chase" name even after cooling.

Entry Zones

Stock Price RSI 30D% Setup
PYPL $56.15 75.1 +32.18% Still extended even after cooling from 80.3 — avoid chasing here
DECK, XLY $96.04 / $109.41 34.7 / 32.9 -9.14% / -4.92% Just fell into oversold this week; no basing evidence yet, treat as watch not entry
HIMS $28.09 36.6 -14.10% Fourth straight week of decline; wait for stabilization before treating as a dip
DPZ, CROX $332.97 / $134.72 61.0 / 59.4 +15.77% / +10.97% Constructive structure, track don't chase
NKE, LULU $41.70 / $114.28 43.4 / 45.5 -0.29% / +1.05% Death-cross regimes; no reversal evidence this window

Action Matrix

Action Stocks Why
⚠️ AVOID PYPL RSI 75.1 — still extended even after cooling from 80.3
🔍 WATCH DECK, XLY Newly oversold this scan; no basing evidence yet, too early to call a setup
⚠️ AVOID HIMS Fourth straight week of decline, worst momentum read on the board short of the newly-oversold names
🔒 HOLD CROX, SBUX, XYZ, CRSR Golden/constructive cross, RSI not extreme
📈 ACCUMULATE DPZ Only name to strengthen this week — 30D improved from +3.11% to +15.77%
🔍 WATCH AS, CMG Both cooled meaningfully this week; confirm whether this is a pause or the start of a deeper pullback
⚠️ AVOID NKE, LULU Death-crossed, rangebound, no reversal evidence

What To Watch Next

Watch Why it matters
DECK and XLY's next print Both just entered oversold — confirm whether either finds a base or keeps falling
HIMS's RSI At 36.6 after a fourth losing week, one more soft print would put it in the same bucket as DECK and XLY
PYPL's cooldown RSI eased from 80.3 to 75.1 — watch whether it keeps cooling toward neutral or reaccelerates
XLY's fresh death cross A genuine structure change this scan; confirm it holds rather than reversing back next week
